Standard Translation discretely replaces the existing LED signage of the Fairfax Reading Room with a higher resolution, full colour screen. Multilingual phrases bleed across the screen in disorientating colour. The work extends the artist’s long history of fragmenting and dissolving meaning through a distant mechanical analysis of form and media.
